We offer Group and One-on-One Rental Housing Counseling to help renters to know the responsibilities and rights for landlords and renters, and get a clear understanding of fair housing content. Our housing counselors provide related referral resources to clients based on their situation.
Pre-Purchase Homebuyer Counseling
Each month, we host bilingual Pre-purchase Homebuyer Education Workshops to help people become mortgage-ready and certified. Follow-up one-on-one Pre-purchase Counseling ensures homebuyers fully understand the home buying process and make an informed decision. Our workshops are currently offered in virtual, in-person, and self-paced learning formats. Languages include English, Chinese Mandarin, and Cantonese.

1. San Francisco MOHCD Homebuyer Program Orientation
Join us for a free 2-hour orientation to learn about San Francisco homebuyer programs offered by the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development (MOHCD) and decide if you want to move forward with the remaining homebuyer education. The orientation provides an overview of affordable city programs, including eligibility requirements, down payment assistance, the application process, lottery preferences, and more!
2. First-Time Homebuyer Education & Certification Workshop
By attending the free General First-time Homebuyer Education & Certification Workshop, you can learn about the basic qualification of a mortgage and the importance of credit and financial management skills. In addition, you can learn the steps to buy a house, including shopping for a home, making an offer, and the closing period, so that you can make better preparations before buying a house!
3. (Self-paced) Framework Homebuyer Education Course
We offer a self-paced online Homebuyer Education Course via Framework, which allows you to complete the 6-hour homebuyer education requirement at your own pace. Languages in English and Spanish.
4. One-on-One Housing Counseling
Complete one-on-one housing counseling with our HUD-certified housing counselors to ensure you fully understand the home buying process and make an informed decision.
Post Purchase Counseling
We offer Post-purchase Workshops and One-on-One Housing Counseling to help homeowners succeed after purchasing their home. Home ownership becomes more sustainable with our Post-purchase counseling and resulted in significant reductions in delinquencies and foreclosures.
